It’s been a week and my beta is still not in the Palm beta feed due to technical issues with the submission system. For this reason I have decided to host my own beta feed.
With that said I’m pleased to announce that the Simple FTP Client BETA is now available! To install it you’ll need to add my custom feed to Preware. Open up Preware and do the following:
- Tap the command menu in the top left corner and select ‘Manage Feeds’.
- Scroll to the bottom and enter the following details (NOTE: no spaces allowed in feed name or url)
- NAME: oma
- URL: http://oma-studios.co.uk/ipkg
- Is Compressed: NO
- Tap the command menu again and select ‘Update Feeds’
Once you’ve got the feed set up in Preware you can download and install the beta. I have set up a forum for general chat and bug reporting here:

(Update: Two notes – First, I will be using this feed for other betas so keep an eye out; second, the SFC beta will remain in the feed until it appears in the Palm Beta feed, at which point it will be taken out.)

I’m looking forward to future releases! I am in need of an ftp client on my Pre 2 daily. I’ll be sure to provide feed back on my usage and bugs if i find them.

Updating the feed produces an error though. Is that software still available ?
The Beta is now closed, you can pick up the official release from the app catalog.

What device are you using? Currently it’s available for Pre 2 and Veer. Pre 3 version is coming in the future.
